Spark plugs play a very important role in your cars engine. They ignite the fuel at exactly the right time so that the engine runs smooth and all the fuel is burned.
Having even one spark plug that is damaged, old, corroded, chipped or cracked can take a huge percentage of your engines power away and you probably wont even know about it untill you take them out and check them over.
Checking your spark plugs is alot easier than you think and most people have the tools needed lying around in their shed somewhere. I recently took my spark plugs out just to see what they looked like and i was shocked by what i seen. Black oily, chipped electrodes that looked like a burnt out plug!
I was supprised that they still created a spark, so i took myself down to the local parts shop (in my friends car). It was just over £20 for 4 new Bosch spark plugs and i fitted them in less than 10 minuites.
Since then the engine is more responsive, starts quicker and has less hesitation when revving up the Rpm's.
